About Speedway

Clay Graduated with distinction from Stanford University, earning a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in engineering management plus executive education at the MIT center for real estate. Prior to re-joining Speedway full-time, Clay worked with Booz Allen & Hamilton management consulting firm in New York City and was a principal at the Hellman & Friedman investment bank in San Francisco. Clay currently serves on the Nebraska Educational Telecommunication Commission, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Bryan Health, LPED, and on UNL’s Raikes School of Computer Science and Management and Sheldon Advisory boards, as well as the Hudl Advisory board.

Craig attended the University of Nebraska and studied architecture and marketing. Early on, Craig lead marketing efforts in transforming Speedway Motors’ catalog business into one of the largest and most recognizable companies in the nation. Now, he leads the Speedway Properties design and construction teams leading several properties to be recognized as the most unique buildings in the market. Craig has served on various boards including the Haymarket Development Corporation board.

Carson is an owner of Speedway Motors and oversees the Warehouse, Manufacturing, Maintenance, IT, and Engineering teams.

Carson graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Carson has been a central figure in Speedway Motors' racing involvement as crew chief for the famed 4x sprint car, fielding a Lola-Chevrolet in the American Indycar Series championship, designing the "Winged Wonder," an S-10 pickup, and an all-new Corvette up the sordid Pikes Peak hill climb. Currently you may see him track testing our house branded products with Team Speedway at an autocross event near you.

Carson also worked at Caterpillar and Proctor & Gamble before returning to Speedway Motors.

Lauren joined Speedway Properties in 2022. She earned her BSBA and MBA from Creighton University. Lauren graduated with distinction and was awarded Creighton Heider College of Business’s 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2022 she completed Stanford’s Executive Education Leadership Program, receiving her certificate in Negotiation Strategies and Leadership. Prior to Speedway, Lauren was Vice President at the nation’s largest privately held servicer and provider of commercial real estate debt and equity. Her expertise in property valuation, acquisitions, and financing supports Speedway Properties’ project development, leasing, construction, and financing needs.

Matt joined Speedway Properties as General Counsel in 2019 after providing legal services as outside counsel for several years. Prior to joining Speedway, Matt served as general counsel for the family office of Gary and Mary West. Matt obtained both his law and accounting degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Matt currently serves on the board of the Grand Island Central Catholic Foundation and the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation.

Ken joined Speedway Properties in 2004. As Director of Operations, Ken is involved in all areas including project development, construction, leasing, maintenance and daily operations. His 27-year history as the Administrator of the State Building Division has given Ken an expansive knowledge in building management, operations and project development. Ken works with city officials, architects, engineers, contractors and tenants to initiate and successfully complete development and renovation projects. Ken has been active on several business associations over the last 20 years.

Mike joined Speedway Properties in 2001 as Chief Financial Officer. He has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications, software, real estate and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Speedway, Mike was Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of Interactive Intelligence, Inc., where he led a successful initial public offering (IPO) of the Indianapolis-based software company. He also served as Vice President-Treasurer and Secretary of Aliant Communications.

Terra joined Speedway Properties as a Residential Property Manager in February of 2020. She has an ample amount of customer service experience and takes pride in being an excellent multitasker and problem solver. She strives every day to make her residents living experience in our luxury apartments the best! In her free time, she enjoys taking part in outdoor activities with her dogs Kipley and Swayze and attending concerts.

Brooklyn joined Speedway Properties in June of 2022 as a Residential Property Manager. She is a solutions-oriented multitasker with a wide range of experience in Customer Service over the past twelve years. Brooklyn challenges herself to find efficiency wherever possible and enjoys working toward her goal of continuously meeting the ever-changing needs of existing and potential residents.

Cole came to Speedway in August 2024 with a degree in Physical Education and Sport Management
from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Before joining the Speedway Team Cole worked as an
Operations Intern and Local Branch Manager. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, watching football
and attending concerts.

Kira joined Speedway in November of 2024. She graduated from Southeast Community College
with a degree in Business Administration. Kira joined the team
after working in Commercial Real
Estate Insurance and Pediatric and Family Therapy. In her free time, Kira enjoys anything that sparks
her creativity. She has a passion for interior design and finance.

Tom joined the Speedway Properties team in 2005. Tom came to Speedway with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, his real estate license and his real estate broker’s license. In 2012 he earned the CCIM designation. He has over 18 years of experience in commercial real estate sales, property management, construction management, and leasing. Tom has served on several community and development boards in Lincoln.

Kali joined Speedway in 2021. Prior to joining the team she earned her bachelor’s degree in advertising and public Relations, graduating in 2017. Kali’s career began in banking and insurance, where she had the opportunity to get into Real Estate Investing, later obtaining her Real Estate License. Driven by adventure and a love for creativity, Kali embraces life with zest and enthusiasm. In her free time she loves to travel and spend time with her dog.

Keri graduated in 2012 with a degree in Criminal Justice. She joined Speedway Properties in January of 2024 as a Commercial Leasing Coordinator after previously working in the aviation industry. Keri plays a central role in lease renewals, modifications and terminations, as well as the marketing of Speedway’s commercial properties. In her free time, Keri is typically found cheering on her kids at sporting events and spending time with family.

Roger joined Speedway in February of 2011. Prior to joining the Speedway team, he spent several years as a maintenance supervisor. Roger plays a crucial role in minor and major property buildouts and tenant improvements for both residential and commercial properties.

Jason joined the Speedway Properties team in April of 2022. He is responsible for overseeing Speedway’s construction projects and leading our efforts with the design team. Having previously worked a Drafter, Architect II, IT Analyst, and Project Manager, Jason joined Speedway with extensive knowledge of architecture, construction, facilities design, and management that is invaluable to the various teams of Speedway Properties. This knowledge and experience are crucial in aligning our assets with government needs.

Elizabeth joined Speedway Properties in 2023 with a Master of Architecture degree and 10+ years of experience in the architectural profession. She has been involved in a wide variety of project types including mixed use, multi-family, educational, and commercial. Her strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills are an asset in the successful completion of redevelopment projects and maintenance of Speedway’s properties.

Brittnie joined Speedway Properties in November of 2023 with a Master of Interior Design Degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Prior to Speedway, Brittnie worked as a Design Project Manager as well as a Facilities Construction Coordinator. Her expertise in interior design and construction will be used for numerous projects at Speedway. In her free time, Brittnie can be found at Husker sporting events, spending time with her husband, family & friends, or playing recreational volleyball.

Kent joined the Speedway Properties team in July of 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Prior to joining Speedway, he worked 17 years as an Operations Director overseeing programs, building maintenance and fundraising. He is very involved in the community non-profit sector helping to organize many community events.

Jacey joined Speedway Properties in June of 2021 after working for Speedway Motors Customer Experience center. She currently works as a commercial property manager with an emphasis on CAM and rent payments. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to concerts, and tinkering on her many projects including a W204 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG, 1972 Vega GT, Honda Ruckus, and Honda ATC 110.

Morgan joined the Speedway Properties team in December of 2022 with 10 years of customer service experience. She is committed to having exceptional tenant relations and to ensuring tenants thrive in their environments. Morgan also serves as the Community Manager for Fuse Coworking. She is dedicated to creating a dynamic and inclusive environment where every member feels inspired and supported. In her free time, Morgan enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family.

Tim started at Speedway in 2019 as a maintenance tech. At that time Speedway had approximately 150 apartment units. Today Tim over sees the maintenance of over 650 units. During his free time, he enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.

James joined Speedway Properties in August 2021 after working in Speedway Motors Maintenance for 7 years and the Speedway Motors Machine Shop for 8 years. He is currently working as the Properties Maintenance Manager. In his free time he enjoys walleye fishing, hunting, Washer tournaments, and is greatly involved in Ducks Unlimited.

Shayna joined Speedway Properties as an Executive Assistant in June of 2021. She has a passion for organization and helping people. She performs a wide variety of administrative tasks including managing schedules, meeting/activity organization and coordination. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work and has a background in administration. Prior to coming to Speedway Properties, Shayna worked as a Regional Lead Administrator.

Terri has been with Speedway Properties since September of 2000 and has over 40 years of experience in the accounting field. She supervises all accounts payable and receivable activity and handles all the accounting functions for Speedway Properties. Prior to coming to Speedway Properties Terri spent 17 years working for sporting goods retailer.

Laura was born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa graduating from University of Nebraska Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. As a Real Estate Asset Manager for, Laura supports the oversight of both commercial and residential assets by way of analysis & reporting, systems and data management, workflow optimization, and value-add improvement plans. She joined Speedway in January of 2024 with over 12 years of experience in the Real Estate sector.

Eli joined Speedway Properties in January of 2023 as a part-time accounting and finance intern. He graduated in December of 2023 from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, having studied finance and accounting. In January of 2024, Eli started his full-time role as a Financial Analyst. Eli helps facilitate Speedway Properties with underwriting potential real estate, development projects, and the ongoing performance of assets under management.

Krisa joined Speedway Properties as the Controller in April of 2023. She graduated from Peru State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Krisa came to Speedway with 10 years of accounting experience. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids, sports and volunteering with her local fast-pitch softball program.

Glenda came to Speedway in June of 2015 as part time office support during her summer breaks from teaching. After 32 years, Glenda retired from teaching and transitioned to Staff Assistant. Currently, her role focuses on accounting and accounts payable. In her free time, Glenda loves camping, baking and any time spent with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Lynette joined Speedway in June 2024 as an Accounting Associate. She came to Speedway with 18 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and payroll. In her free time, Lynette enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family and dogs.
