As a co-founder and general partner, Clay leads the Speedway Properties team. Clay earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Economics degree from Stanford University, graduating with distinction. He also earned a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Stanford University. Prior to re-joining Speedway on a full-time basis, Clay worked with the Booz Allen & Hamilton consulting firm in New York City and the Hellman & Friedman investment banking firm in San Francisco. Clay is active in Lincoln, having served on dozens of community organization’s boards. He currently serves on the Nebraska Educational Telecommunication Commission, Bemis, LPED and on the UNL-Sheldon board.
As a co-founder, Craig leads the Speedway Property Team’s design and construction teams. Craig attended the University of Nebraska and studied architecture and marketing. His creative design and innovative renovations have made some of the Speedway Properties the most unique in the market. Craig has served on various boards including the Haymarket Development Corporation Board.
Mike joined Speedway Properties in 2001 as Chief Financial Officer. He has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications, software, real estate and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Speedway, Mike was Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of Interactive Intelligence, Inc., where he led a successful initial public offering (IPO) of the Indianapolis-based software company. He also served as Vice President-Treasurer and Secretary of Aliant Communications (formerly known as the Lincoln Telephone Company). Mike is currently a member of the Investment Committee of the University of Nebraska Foundation. He is a past Chairman of the Community Health Endowment of Lincoln and is a Past Chairman of Woods Charitable Fund, Inc.
Matt joined Speedway Properties as General Counsel in 2019 after providing legal services as outside counsel for several years. Prior to joining Speedway, Matt served as general counsel for the family office of Gary and Mary West. Matt obtained both his law and accounting degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Matt currently serves on the board of the Grand Island Central Catholic Foundation and the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation.
Ken joined Speedway Properties in 2004. As Director of Operations, Ken is involved in all areas including project development, construction, leasing, maintenance and daily operations. Ken earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and has worked in the facilities/property management field for over 40 years. His 27 year history as the Administrator of the State Building Division has given him an expansive knowledge in building management, operations and project development. Ken works with city officials, architects, engineers, contractors and tenants to initiate and successfully complete development and renovation projects. Ken is active in several business associations including the Downtown Lincoln Association Board of Directors and has been a member of the Nebraska Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Review Board for over 20 years.
Adam joined Speedway Properties upon his retirement from the United States Marine Corps in January of 2015 as the Operations Manager. Adam earned his bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has worked in the operational management field for over 27 years. His previous experience in the United States Marine Corps has given him an expansive knowledge of management. Adam works daily diligently with team members, architects, engineers, contractors and tenants to adeptly manage day to day operations and projects. Adam is active in several business associations including the Lincoln Downtown Rotary # 14, Lincoln Executive Club, LIBA, East Lincoln Business Association, West “O” Business Association, Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee and is also a member of the Nebraska Alumni Association, DAV, VFW, American Leg
Mike joined Speedway Properties in 2019. As Project Development Manager, Mike is involved in site planning, project management, and supports daily operational activities. Mike earned his associate’s degree from Southeast Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Doane College, and a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from UNL. His 24 years of experience in the electric utility industry, and 11 years working as an economic development aide in the City of Lincoln Mayor’s office give him a unique blend of skills to effectively manage a broad variety of Real Estate related tasks. Mike works with local businesses, city officials, public and private utilities, engineers, and contractors to successfully complete development and redevelopment projects. Mike is a Veteran, is active in several Fraternal Organizations, and has served on the Lincoln Action Program as well as the District Energy Corporation Board of Directors.
Tom joined the Speedway Properties team in 2005. Tom’s primary responsibilities include property acquisition and negotiating lease contracts. Prior to joining Speedway, Tom earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska, his real estate salesperson’s license in 1997, his real estate broker’s license in 2000, and the CCIM designation in 2012. Tom was the managing broker for a local residential property management company from 2000 to 2005. Tom has over 18 years of experience in commercial real estate sales, property management, construction management, and leasing. He is active in the community and sits on the Lincoln Haymarket Development Corporation board, the Downtown Lincoln Association board, the City Mission community development board, and is a member of Leadership Lincoln’s Fellows XXXI class.
Renae joined Speedway Properties in January 2020 as a Commercial Leasing Agent. Renae has a Bachelor’s Degree in Buisness and Marketing Management and is also a licensed Realtor. Prior to joining Speedway; Renae spent 14 years as a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer.
Kent joined the Speedway Properties team in July of 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Prior to joining Speedway he worked 17 years for The Salvation Army as Operations Director overseeing programs, building maintenance and fundraising. He is very involved in the community non-profit sector helping to organize many community events.
Roger joined Speedway 10 years ago with years of maintenance experience and is now a Property Manager.”
Nina joined Speedway Properties in April 2019. She is currently a Residential Property Manager for Speedway Properties with a decade of experience working in this industry.
Keaton joined Speedway Properties in January of 2020. He previously worked as a team lead in our Customer Experience center for 3 years. He brings his knowledge of customer service and management to our team. Keaton looks forward to completing additional IREM and NAAEI property manager certifications in the future.
Terra joined Speedway Properties as a Property Manager in February of 2020. Prior to working with Speedway Properties, Terra has 6 years of experience in the Medical Field. She strives every day to make her residents living experience in our luxury apartments the best. In her free time, she enjoys taking part in outdoor activities and attending concerts.
Amy joined Speedway Properties in December of 2019 as a member of our accounting team. Since then, she has transitioned into a commercial property management position and takes on a wide range of responsibilities. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dog to the park, getting together with friends, and attending concerts.
Terri has been with Speedway Properties since September of 2000 and has over 25 years experience in the accounting field. She supervises all accounts payable and receivable activity and handles all the accounting functions for Speedway Properties. Prior to coming to Speedway Properties Terri spent 17 years working for Lawlor’s Sporting Goods in their accounting department.
Alison came to Speedway Properties in 2008. She is the executive assistant to company leaders and takes on a wide range of responsibilities including schedule administration, activity organization, account management, meeting coordination, and maintenance/support of employees technological needs. Alison earned an Associate’s degree in agriculture business and Bachelor’s degree in business. Prior to coming to Speedway Properties Alison spent time with One Source at Bush Gardens, Pine Valley Nursery and Landscaping, and Aspen Builders gaining invaluable experience in hard work, customer service and organizational skills.
Caitlin joined Speedway Properties as an Accounting Associate in January of 2020, she handles accounts payable and assists with accounts receivable. She earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and brings a decade of experience in accounting.
